Timothy Lundgren is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied under David MaCaulay, Chris Van Allsburg, Lane Smith, and many others, graduating with a BFA in illustration in 1980. From 1991 onward, Mr. Lundgren has been extending his expertise into the realm of portrait painting, working in oils and pastels, and developing a whole new client base. In addition to his studies at the Rhode Isand School of Design he has also studied portraiture with the renowned portrait artist Daniel Greene at his studio in North Salem, New York. Mr. Lundgren is a current member of the Portrait Society of America.

Mr. Lundgren has had numerous exhibits and many commissions, both commercial and private. His commercial clients include Dynamic Graphics, Inc., Hurley, Chandler, & Chaffer, Young & Rubicam, Jordan, McGrath, Case, & Taylor, CDHM, Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Inc. Bozell, and many more.

Timothy Lundgren believes in providing his clients with the very highest quality artwork possible, reaching beyond mere visual description to something of much more lasting significance, whether it be illustration in the service of commerce or of portraiture in the revelation of character which endures.

In the fall of 2003 he began teaching adult classes in drawing and water colors in the continuing education program at Northwestern Connecticut Community College.
